Dr. Kenneth Ridings

Dr. Kenneth Ridings  is well known by most North Carolina Baptists. Ann, his wife of over 50 years, is the one who led him to Christ. He readily testifies that “Ann is the one who has been the back bone, the heart and soul of the Ridings’ family ministry.” Without her “none of this would have ever happened.”
He speaks lovingly of his parents and reveals his memory of his mother’s response when she first
found out her son would study to become a preacher. “My mother said that if God had called Kenneth to preach, he called the most backward and bashful kid in the world. And she was right,” Ridings said. Nevertheless, he went on to study at North Greenville College, Furman University and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Dr. Ridings  has touched thousands of lives thru his faithful exposition of God's Word. He served as Professor of Homiletics at Fruitland Baptist Bible Institute for 40 years and from 1996 till 2008 he served the school as president.
